Artist Sarah Witt talks to Rate My Artist Residency’s Chief Editor, Katrina Neumann, about her Banff Centre Thematic Residency experience via audio recording in her studio at Flux Factory in Long Island City, New York.

Sarah Witt is a visual artist responding to the relationship between humans and the constructed environments of accelerated society. Sarah holds a Master of Science in Visual Studies from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2011) and a B.F.A from Syracuse University (2004). During her graduate studies, she was awarded an MIT Council for the Arts grant, the Peter de Florez Fund for Humor, a Department of Architecture Tuition Fellowship and the Schnitzer Prize in Visual Arts. Sarah participated in a residency at the Banff Centre in 2012, and is currently an artist in residence at Flux Factory in New York City.
