Mission: N & G Global Exchange Center Artists Residence program invites artists from abroad to live in Beijing, the cultural and historical center of China, to exchange ideas and to experience local cultures. This program is a part of our intercultural exchange program with the goal to promote better understanding and harmony cross the country boundary lines and ethnical group lines.
Our Artist Residency Program focuses on:
1) to experience and to encounter Chinese cultures, Chinese Mandarin Language and to connect to the everyday life of local citizens;
2) to connect and to network with Chinese art community and art enthusiasts, which may produce the lasting friendship and enhance the artists’ career potentials.
Cost: USD $800 for two weeks to $1600 for 4 weeks

Accommodations: Single room with private bathroom in shared apartment, studio space in our office, support staff for orientation and general assistance, one art related activity each week; the activities include art tours, workshop, cultural tours, art shows, 6 private Chinese Mandarin lessons focusing on art related subjects, inclusion in our website and the Yearbook (if available), Electricity, Heating and gas, water, Internet access, linen and towels are provided, washing machine available, weekly housecleaning service.
The working studio is in our office building Shangdi. Our office is large and bright space with glass wall. From our top-down glass wall window, you can see the mountain in west side of Beijing and can even see the top of architecture on the hill of Summer Palace. Also in each of our office, there is roof-garden view. The opened space in one floor below ours are available for artists to rest and to work in good weather. Free Internet access is provided in accommodation and in working office.
The accommodation is in Xierqi, Haidian District, Beijing, in Chinese residence area. The artists will have his or her private room and private bathroom. He or she may share the large living room and kitchen with other international students. There is a large space in the apartment for artists to use.
Length of Stay: 1 week to 3 months
Demographic: International young to established visual artists. Art major students in Bachelor and Master levels are also welcome to apply.
Medium: Visual artists including (but not limited) painters, sculptors, photographers who are based upon the area outside of China.

The artists may take 6 art-related private Chinese language lessons free. We also have a partner art gallery in Beijing Financial District. So we arrange small arts show for our artists at the last week their staying. The meeting and training rooms can be used for workshops and seminars.
