One- to three-week self-directed residencies at Fort Worden State Park on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. Cabin lodging and studio time in a coastal state park. Application window April 15 – June 30.
Since 1980, the Centrum Residency program has welcomed hundreds of artists and creative thinkers to immerse themselves in the historic charm and natural beauty of Fort Worden. The campus has sweeping views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges, with miles of wandering beach and forest trails. The land on which it sits and the waters that it borders are the traditional territory of the S’Klallam and Chemakum people. We strive to honor their thriving culture and sustain their homelands. Creative professionals from all disciplines and backgrounds can take advantage of charming cabins, studio spaces, and a town with a vibrant arts community. These self-directed residencies allow both individuals and collectives to customize experiences that range from creative solitary pursuits to collaborative productions.
