98B COLLABoratory is an artist-run space in Escolta, Manila's historic commercial district. Their residency program hosts international artists for 1–2 month stays, connecting them with Manila's chaotic, vibrant, and deeply political contemporary art scene. The Philippines' unique cultural position — Spanish colonial history, American influence, and deep Austronesian roots — creates a layered context unlike anywhere else in Asia. The program provides studio space, curatorial mentorship, and connections to Manila's network of artist-run spaces.
