Djerassi Resident Artists Program

Set on 583 spectacular acres in the Santa Cruz Mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean, 40 miles south of San Francisco, Djerassi offers four- to five-week residencies at no cost to approximately 70 artists each year (March through November). Ten to twelve artists are in residence at a time. Facilities include three visual art studios, a spacious dance studio, darkroom, and a music composition studio with baby grand and electric piano. A chef prepares communal dinners Monday through Friday; residents prepare their own breakfasts, lunches, and weekend meals using program-supplied provisions.
