An artist-led collective and residency in Long Island City, Queens, founded in 1994. Residents join for 3-, 6-, 9-, or 12-month terms in a live/work space with private or shared studios, a wood shop, silkscreen studio, co-working office, library, kitchen, and an expansive gallery. Each resident gets gallery time for a solo show, group show, or public program, plus a stipend toward a public presentation or new work. Residents contribute toward monthly live/work costs. Open calls are posted twice a year.
