Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Penland has been a center for craft education since 1929. The Penland residency program offers 3-year terms for emerging and mid-career artists working in craft media, providing private studio space, housing, a monthly stipend, and access to Penland's exceptional facilities and visiting artist community. Residents also teach and mentor workshop participants.
