Operated by Assets for Artists on the campus of MASS MoCA in the Berkshire Mountains, this residency has hosted over 1,000 artists since 2015. Two- and four-week stays include a private studio (some with 11-foot ceilings), furnished private housing across the street from the museum, one communal meal daily, and three months of MASS MoCA membership. Communal printmaking studio available to all residents. The program particularly suits visual artists and writers; applications from dancers and musicians are discouraged due to studio noise constraints. Fully funded fellowships and need-based aid available in regular application cycles.
